1. Reduce Timeout To Kill Service Or Applications:

Before Windows shuts down, it attempts to properly close all running processes. If a service doesn’t close immediately, Windows waits for a few seconds, until it prompts the user that the service is not responding to the shutdown request. The amount of this waiting time is defined by registry keys and you can reduce it.

These are two fairly harmless registry hacks. If you follow the steps outlined in this article, it should in no way harm your system.

Light To Replace Wires In Computers

Scientists at IBM recently completed research which may soon result in supercomputers the size of current notebooks.

This would be achieved by replacing existing copper wires used to couple processing cores together with a silicon Mach-Zehnder electro-optic modulator, which would allow light to pass the data. The connector created by the team uses light to pass data between the computational cores that is faster and uses less power than copper wires.

With light the researchers, led by Dr Will Green, can cut the amount of power needed to move data between processors and slash the amount of heat a large computational cluster produces.

How to start Turbo C in the DOSBox automatically

You can save your time by having DOSBox automatically mount your folders and start Turbo C. Here's how you can do it:

For DOSBox versions older then 0.73 browse into program installation folder and open the dosbox.conf file in any text editor. Then scroll down to the very end, and add the lines which you want to automatically execute when DOSBox starts.

Are you tired of waiting while your windows shuts down? Now no more wait, thanks to this cool trick.
The trick is in two parts. Follow both of them for best results.

Part-1
1. Open the Registry Editor (Start >> Run >> type regedit).
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control
3. Click on the "Control" Folder.
4. Select "WaitToKillServiceTimeout".
5. Right click on it, select modify and set it a value lower than 2000 (the lesser the faster, but remember don't set it less than 100 to be on the safer side).

Part-2

Change Yahoo Messenger's Title Bar Text

Hey guys now you can change the Yahoo Messenger 's title bar which this little tweak.

Just follow these steps:
1. Open you yahoo messenger installation folder (default C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger).
2. Then search a file named "ymsgr". Double click to open it. If it doesn't open, then use notepad to open this file.
3. In this file just go to the end and paste the following code in a new line:

To HIDE a folder in mobile phone without using any software:

1) rename the folder you want to hide with a ".jad" extension.
2) create a new folder with the same name but with ".jar" extension.
3) the folder with ".jad" extension gets hidden.
4) to un-hide, simply rename or delete the folder with ".jar" extension.

Important Tips For Mobile Phone Users:
